John Hatt is a Student Success Associate at the Optical Training Institute. In this role, John excels in providing exceptional student support, customer service, and account management, all aligned with the company’s mission to educate outstanding opticians.

John works closely with learners, offering training support and information about OTI’s products and services. He engages across various platforms and formats to ensure learners achieve their goals and succeed in their careers.

Before joining the Optical Training Institute, John began his optical career in 1991 with a privately owned, multi-location optical company headquartered in Western Michigan. Over the next 32 years, he grew alongside the organization, earning his ABO certification in his first year and holding numerous leadership positions, including General Manager, District Manager, Director of Optical Development, and Senior Director of Global Patient Experience.

John’s most notable tenure was his 13 years as the Director of Optical Development, where he focused on in-office and classroom training to help retail employees achieve ABO certification.

With an extensive background in the optical industry and a passion for helping others succeed, John brings invaluable expertise and dedication to his role at Optical Training Institute.
