The pathophysiology will be reviewed, drawing attention to microbial etiologies. Special attention will be given to the microbiome and its effect on our susceptibility to blepharitis. Diagnosis and treatment will be outlined, including home hygiene measures, pharmaceuticals, and in-office procedures.
