Soft Lens Problem Solving–Clinical Issues Two significant developments in the field of soft lenses have enormously enhanced the clinician’s available tools for soft lens problem solving: the development of modern disposable lenses and the development of silicone hydrogel lenses. This resulted in changes in the way contact lenses are perceived and cared for by the public, and in the way practitioners manage fittings and many complications.
