Innovation in The Treatment of Thyroid Eye Disease

This course is designed to review thyroid eye disease (TED). The audience will learn how ocular sequelae can manifest from abnormalities in the thyroid gland. Systemic symptoms of thyroid disease will be discussed. Thyroid eye disease will be introduced as a potential ocular sequela. Diagnostic tests will be reviewed, including laboratory values, imaging and biomicroscopy. Signs and symptoms will be discussed. Treatment of TED will be delineated, with an introduction of new therapies in this area.
