A Step Towards Accessibility and Inclusivity

OTI is excited to provide Spanish-language continuing education options, making professional development more accessible to a broader audience. This move ensures that Spanish-speaking opticians can fully engage with and benefit from our high-quality educational resources.

“Offering Spanish courses to opticians will allow them access to educational resources and professional development opportunities that they might otherwise miss due to language constraints. This will empower Spanish-speaking opticians by validating their language and culture, leading to increased confidence and job satisfaction. Overall, offering these courses supports a more inclusive, equitable, and competent optician community.”

Karla Aviles, Education Coordinator at The American Board of Opticianry & National Contact Lens Examiners

Enhancing Professional Development

Offering courses in Spanish allows OTI to cater to the diverse needs of learners. By delivering content in their native language, we enhance comprehension and retention, leading to a more effective learning experience.

“Spanish-language courses allow opticians like me to engage with the content in my native language. I’ve gained confidence in using Spanish professionally, improved my understanding of cultural nuances and business etiquette, and enhanced my communication with Spanish-speaking patients and colleagues.”

Venus Sosa, LDO & Program Coordinator at Optical Training Institute.
