Photochromic
Lenses
Today, the quality and functionality of photochromic lenses continue to evolve as companies focus more attention and dollars on research and development efforts. Faster darkening and lightening abilities have improved the performance of lenses in a range of climate and temperature conditions. The current generation of glass photochromic lenses began with the development of Corning Thin & Dark lenses the lenses most responsible for the so-called glass renaissance, a re-thinking of the value of glass lenses. These lenses are made with the most advanced glass lens technology and can be processed 25% thinner than conventional glass lenses. This feature alone makes it possible to produce glass lenses that are lightweight to wear, provide superior optics and offer exceptional photochromic characteristics.
