Photochromic
Lenses When convenient, patients are usually most impressed with demonstrations under real life conditions. While in the office, show the patient a lens sample in its clear state. Or have the patient put on a sample pair. Now take the patient outdoors. This simple demonstration is the most dramatic way for patients to see for themselves how photochromic lenses work. It also helps if dispensing brochures on photochromic lenses are available to the patient. These are high tech lenses and a graphic demonstration accompanied with a description of how they work is always appreciated. Demo units that demonstrate how photochromic lenses darken are available from most photochromic lens manufacturers. Watch out for UV lamps however. Experts warn that UV lamp demonstrations do not match the true performance of photochromic lenses in real sunlight. Keep the young crowd abreast of photochromic advancements involving sun-sensitive fashion tints lenses that provide a fun hip look that is both striking and stylish. Wearers and dispensers can let their imagination come up with bold color combinations of frame color, lens color and coatings when ordering attractive fashionable lenses. There are no set rules governing color choices. Try a Gray Corning SunSensors lens with a Zeiss Cool Blue AR coatingwhat a unique, yet functional choice. Some will want to coordinate the lens color with that of the frame. Dont be surprised to find some will want more than one pair. This is what the fashion world is all about, so take advantage of it.
